We are very excited and proud to announce that our own Denise Nelson-Finster was again named a World Champion! Her and her horse Isabella placed third for their performance at the 2020 Western Dressage World Championship, among 2,400 horses and riders. Denise competed at the highest and most competitive level, which is for trainers only. Dressage is an Olympic discipline. The horse and rider are judged on how well they can perform a series of prescribed movements and a musical freestyle performance, giving dressage great international popularity.
But Denise doesn’t hold on to her expertise with horses just for her own recognition. This world champion’s ease of connecting with horses is shared for the benefit of others and for the last twenty years with Orange County Rescue Mission’s Double R Ranch. It is amazing what Denise and a horse can do to help breakdown the walls of the hardened heart of a broken man or woman, to bring healing and restoration.
We are so thankful to have world-class team members in our ministry and look forward to more victories for Denise and her husband, Kevin.
