Hope Harbor, formerly known as Laurel House, has been an affiliate organization with Orange County Rescue Mission since 2014. I am blessed to lead Hope Harbor, giving Orange County youth with great needs the opportunity to live in a safe home to heal, grow and reunite with their families.
You may recall that we have been working hard to open a second home to offer life-saving help to teen boys as well. Thanks to the generous support of donors, we are quickly nearing the day when the house will be ready to welcome six boys and their house parents. It will be home for up to six teen boys at a time, who are struggling in their lives, to find meaning and mentorship in order to reconnect with their own families.
But, we are missing one very important part of the program…the house parents! We are looking for that special couple that desires to make a lasting difference in the lives of others, by serving as the house parents. This is an incredible ministry opportunity!
We have the home, and a strong Christian couple brings the “family”. The couple or small family would live onsite in a separate-but-connected, two-bedroom apartment. Some of the criteria for the couple is to belong to a Bible-believing Church, and to have previous experience as a pastor or counselor of at-risk teens is preferred. For more information on this amazing opportunity, please visit our employment website www.rescuemission.org/employment or email our Human Resources Department at jobs@rescuemission.org.
If this opportunity sparks your interest, please inquire to learn more! Or if you know a couple that are passionate about helping kids, please pass on the information to them!
