As we continue to cross off the summer days of leisure on the calendar, this season has been anything but leisurely at the Rescue Mission. There continues to be a consistently steady flow of men, women and children in need filtering through our doors.
Where most families are planning vacations, cruises and camps, we see mothers and fathers who are struggling to merely put food on the table.
Sam and Pepper are one example of a family that came to us in need. With baby Mason in tow, they were at the end of their rope and needed to find food and shelter. Now as students at the Village of Hope, Sam and Pepper are on track to not only provide for their son, but find their way into new careers and a new path of life.
