How YOU Can Help Care For Homeless Teen Boys in Orange County!

How YOU Can Help Care For Homeless Teen Boys in Orange County!

by | Mar 20, 2019

I want to share with you an exciting project that is taking shape here at Orange County Rescue Mission!  Several years ago, we took on Laurel House, a ministry for at-risk and homeless teen girls, and this ministry has seen tremendous success and made an incredible impact on dozens of young lives over the years.  The Lord put a burden on my heart in recent years to expand the reach of this ministry to another population in need: at-risk and homeless teen boys.

This year, God has made this vision a reality – we recently closed escrow on a home in the heart of Tustin, and have begun the planning process with the hopes of launching this ministry within the next few months!  As you can see from these photos, the home is beautiful and we are overjoyed to think of all the young lives that will experience lasting life change here.

The home was built in the early 1960s and still has its original windows and doors.  Due to normal wear and tear over 50+ years, it is in need of some additional renovation before it is ready to become house and home to young men in need.  To help fund these renovations, we have an exciting event coming up, the Ridin’ for Hope Cigar and Poker Run!

This motorcycle ride and poker run, coming up this Saturday, March 23, winds through Orange County and includes a poker card pull and raffle drawings with complimentary food and beverages along the ride!  Proceeds from this event will benefit the new Laurel House Boy’s Home and provide the necessary funding for the renovations.
