This is one of those moments where adults may be having double the fun that the kids actually are.
Donahue Schriber has been bringing Christmas gifts to the children at the House of Hope for more years than I can remember.
These are the kind of volunteers that are so faithful, their relationships and dependability is priceless.
Joining our mothers and children at the House of Hope, gifts in tow, along with a meal catered by Stone Fire grill, our friends from Donahue Schriber have our kids convinced that they are the actual Santa Clause and elves.
Where the Orange County Rescue Mission’s House of Hope is a second step program, this home is full of mothers that are working jobs to pay their bills, but might not be able to get the extra thrills and frills like Christmas gifts for their children. This day is such a treat for our families, where adults are filled with joy to give, parents celebrate the generosity of others, and children experience the hope of receiving love from kind friends.
Huge thank you to our faithful friends from Donahue Schriber and First American for making this season bright and hopeful for these mothers and children.
Merry Christmas from the House of Hope!
