A loved one’s addiction causes great agony for families. We see the heartache, the struggle, and the tension over whether to forgive and take the risk of trusting again, here at Orange County Rescue Mission. And we see the patience and humility that is required on the part of the addict to begin the reconciliation process.
Derrick Burton, Rescue Mission Program Director, was featured in Jubliee’s Youtube episode “Middle Ground: Should You Cut Ties with an Addicted Family Member”, where former addicts and family members joined to discuss the painful reality of addiction, and learn from each other’s perspective.
