It’s that time of year again: our 2nd Annual Children’s Business Fair is coming soon! The Children’s Business Fair allows children to display their business ideas and innovations to the local community by launching their own “start-up” through a booth at the Fair. This event teaches our children the value of entrepreneurship and teamwork as well as empowers them to be creative and self-sufficient. As someone who became involved in business at a young age, this event has quickly become a favorite of mine.
I was encouraged last year to see the creativity and hard work of our community’s children, and I am eager to see what they have for us this year. Last year, this event was a huge success, with over 500 attendees from the community coming out to support young entrepreneurs. This year will undoubtedly be just as successful – the event is already at max capacity for booths, 4 of which are created and operated by children from the Village of Hope.
We have also received $9,000 in support from many corporate and individuals sponsors from the community. I would like to thank the following groups and individuals for their support of these young entrepreneurs:
Chick- Fil-A Foundation
Peter Brakke of Tustin Legacy Chick-Fil-A
Brandon & Sharon Barr Day
Wayne & Linda Lindholm
Rick & Fiona Albrecht
Mark & Brownyn Bucher
ORCO Block
Crevie Classic Cars
City National Bank
Timothy Spangler
Fred & Adriana Fourcher
Dr. Kerry Reynolds
David Leachman
I invite you to come support these young minds as they develop vital skills for their future. The Children’s Business Fair will be at the Village of Hope on Saturday, April 29th from 11am to 2pm. And plan to shop! Nothing encourages a young entrepreneur like people purchasing their products.
Be inspired by watching the video highlighting last year’s Children’s Business Fair.
