Rescue Mission Graduation: homelessness ended for another 64 people!*

by | Oct 6, 2020

Orange County Rescue Mission graduations are our biggest celebrations of the year! But you might wonder, graduation from what? Rescue Mission graduations are a celebration and acknowledgement of how each graduate, not long ago, was homeless. And now, after many months of very hard work and God’s grace and strength, they have began a whole new life!

Charles (Chuck) Pelser, a single father of three children, was chosen as this graduation’s valedictorian. A Rescue Mission valedictorian is a man or woman who not only has changed their lives, but who has also been an inspiration to others. Chuck’s enjoyable personality that has been an encouragement to so many shined through as he shared his journey with us.

Please take a moment and click here to enjoy a few moments of the graduation and hear from Chuck Pelser.

We were unable to invite guests to the ceremony in order to maintain physcial distancing. Instead, the live event was streamed on Facebook on Sunday, October 4, 2020. Click here to enjoy the entire graduation.

*Many people graduated earlier in the year at the height of the pandemic, and were unable to return for the fall graduation ceremony.
