John Patterson has volunteered with and supported Orange County Rescue Mission for almost 15 years! His longevity and commitment as a supporter have made a tremendous impact on the students in our programs and the homeless population in our community.
To commemorate his commitment, I presented John with a sword in front of Tustin Mazda, one of several of his auto dealerships (Patterson Autos, Tustin Mazda, Tustin Hyundai, Huntington Beach Mazda, Mission Viejo Acura.) Inscribed on the sword is “John Patterson, a Warrior for the Least, the Last, and the Lost.” Many years ago, I was honored with a sword, signifying the courage required to fight on behalf of those in need. It has become my chosen way of honoring others for their service.
