Serving Hope This Season

My favorite part of the holidays is sharing a warm meal with my closest friends and family. Some of the best memories are made around the table, breaking bread with loved ones and sharing in one another’s joy. There is a special significance in sharing a meal with loved ones. A hot, nourishing meal doesn’t just satisfy a person’s hunger, it brings hope and joy.
During the holidays, your generosity will have special meaning for a homeless and hungry neighbor just getting off the streets. Or an addict trying to get clean. Or a single parent stretching each paycheck, teetering on the edge of disaster.
Whatever caused their brokenness — homelessness, unemployment, poverty, addiction — the Mission provides a safe place for them to turn. Nothing can compare to the joy and relief they feel as they sit down to a delicious meal, lovingly prepared just for them.
And that’s why our Serving Hope campaign between now and Thanksgiving is so important. We need to serve 219,948 meals to hungry men, women and families between now and Thanksgiving alone!
The only way we can provide this many meals is with your help.  And today, you can show them you care with the gift of a meal for just $1.48 each.
Please give now so we can be sure there will be enough food for everyone who comes through our doors. Thanksgiving will be here before we know it, and there’s not a moment to lose!
Thank you in advance for your generous support which will bless so many homeless and hungry neighbors this holiday season!
