This week’s superhero volunteer is close to my heart, as well as the heart of Orange County Rescue Mission: she is a Rescue Mission graduate!
Our very own Rae Glenn was recently recognized in Orange Coast magazine for her selfless service at several of our facilities, including the Village of Hope, where she once lived. Rae went through our program several years ago and worked in our kitchen. She has since graduated, become a successful food service chef in Irvine, and now serves with us almost every week!
Rae desires to give back to those that have helped her, and we are so thankful for her faithful service. But she brings so much more than that: she is an inspiration to those that are following in her footsteps to restoration. Residents of our program are encouraged by her, seeing through her example that life change and restoration is possible.
Rae, thank you for your joyful service, and for sharing your talents with the Rescue Mission. We are so proud of you and thankful to call you part of the Rescue Mission family!
