We can all agree that motherhood is something to celebrate!  Many of our moms here at the Village of Hope have come from difficult and tumultuous circumstances and are now working hard to create better lives for themselves and their children.  This Mother’s Day, our friends, the Women for Hope, went above and beyond to recognize and celebrate these mothers!

Twenty-four women from the Women for Hope group set up a beautiful event complete with stations to take photos, plant flowers and decorate cards.  The women gathered and provided all the supplies for the event and even reached out to Nitao Nursery to donate all of the flowers!  This is Women for Hope’s second annual Mother’s Day gift-making event and it gave the children an opportunity to create special and meaningful gifts to honor and celebrate their mothers on Mother’s Day.

Women for Hope is a group of committed women working together to bring hope to those who need it at Orange County Rescue Mission.  This group was founded in 2018 to encourage and make a  difference in the lives of the Least, the Last, and the Lost.  Each member supports the Rescue Mission by giving $1,000 per year as well as participating in fun events, like this Mother’s Day event, throughout the year as they build relationships with the people they are supporting.
