When we hosted our first ever 5k walk/run at the Rescue Mission to raise awareness and funding to support the homeless of Orange County, we had no idea another great story would arise from this event.
But nevertheless, 9 year old Zach Blum crossed the race finish line in 18:30 —that’s 5:58 per mile pace — landing him a world-topping time for runners his age.
What a fantastic accomplishment!
